Executive assistant performance review: how to use it
Six areas, a weight, a score from 1 to 5, and one line of evidence. The weighted total calculates on its own.
Open ea-performance-review.csv in Google Sheets or Excel. Make one copy for you and one for the assistant, filled in before you meet.
What 1, 3, and 5 mean
| Score | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 5 | You can point at the work. The agenda was out, the number was in, the draft was usable. |
| 3 | The work happened, with a reminder or a fix from you. |
| 1 | It did not happen, or it happened in a way you had to redo. |
Weight 3 is a must-have for this quarter. The sheet flags a must-have that scores below 3. Talk about that flag before you set next quarter.
Where the scores should come from
Use the weekly scorecard, the Level 10 notes, and the calendar. A score without a sentence is a mood. If you and the assistant differ by two points on an area, that gap is the meeting.
Turn one low score into a rock or a to-do. The page on rocks for an executive assistant is the shape of that next step. The longer article is an executive assistant performance review example.
