Node.js Developer (Remote)
About the role
We are hiring a remote Node.js Developer to build and run reliable APIs and background jobs in Node.js.
You will report to the founder.
What you will do
- Design and build REST or GraphQL APIs in Node.js and TypeScript
- Write background jobs, queues, and scheduled tasks
- Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks
- Model data and write efficient queries
- Write unit and integration tests
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- APIs documented and covered by tests
- Errors logged with enough context to fix them quickly
- Integrations that retry and recover on their own
Tools you will use
- Node.js and TypeScript
- Express, Fastify, or NestJS
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis
- Docker
- GitHub
What we are looking for
- Three or more years building Node.js services in production
- Strong understanding of async code, error handling, and retries
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
- Writes tests and documents endpoints
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours a week, remote. Working hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
