QA Automation Engineer (Remote)
About the role
We are hiring a remote QA Automation Engineer to catch bugs before customers do by building and running our automated and manual tests.
You will report to the founder.
What you will do
- Write and maintain end-to-end tests with Playwright or Cypress
- Write API tests for key endpoints
- Run the automated test suite in CI on every pull request
- Write test plans and test cases for new features
- Log clear, reproducible bug reports
What success looks like in the first 90 days
- Critical user flows covered by automated tests
- Tests running on every pull request
- Every bug report includes steps, expected and actual results, and evidence
Tools you will use
- Playwright or Cypress
- Postman
- GitHub Actions
- Jira or Linear
- BrowserStack
What we are looking for
- Three or more years in QA, with at least two in test automation
- Writes test code in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python
- Experience running tests in CI
- Writes bug reports a developer can act on without a follow-up question
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours a week, remote. Working hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
