When hiring locally is the better option
Hire locally when the work cannot be done remotely, or when you have already decided the person must be your employee in your state.
- The job is in person: a site visit, a showroom, a warehouse floor, a clinic room.
- Your counsel says the work has to be performed by someone on a local payroll or under a local license. This page is not that advice.
- You want a leader in the room with customers, not a remote seat supporting them.
- You are hiring one person you already know, and you do not need a search.
