WordPress Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring a remote WordPress Developer to keep our WordPress sites fast, secure, and easy for the team to update.

You will report to the founder.

What you will do

  • Build custom themes, blocks, and page templates
  • Keep WordPress core, themes, and plugins updated
  • Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Harden security and manage backups
  • Fix layout and functionality bugs

What success looks like in the first 90 days

  • Core, themes, and plugins updated on a regular schedule
  • Key pages faster and passing Core Web Vitals
  • Every change tested on staging before it goes live

Tools you will use

  • WordPress and PHP
  • Gutenberg blocks or ACF
  • WooCommerce
  • Git
  • Google Tag Manager

What we are looking for

  • Three or more years building custom WordPress sites
  • Strong PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with the block editor or ACF
  • Works on staging and uses version control

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours a week, remote. Working hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
