Cost to hire / executive assistant
How much does it cost to hire an executive assistant in the Philippines?
A full-time executive assistant through Rekruuto, based in the Philippines, is $1,800 a month, all in: vetted to the top 2% of applicants, working your hours, with a 14-day start and a 1-week trial. A U.S. hire at the BLS median costs about $9,510 a month with employer costs. We place talent in the Philippines only.
Start in 14 days.

What does the monthly price include?
You pay one invoice. The hire is full time on your team: calendar, inbox, meeting prep, travel, and the follow-through that keeps a leader's week intact. You manage the day-to-day work. We recruit, vet, and pay the person in the Philippines.
The first week is a trial. If the fit is wrong, we find a replacement or refund your money. There is no long-term contract. You can pause or cancel with 2 weeks' notice. Software developers and AI Implementation Specialists are a different seat, from $2,500 a month. An executive assistant is the standard full-time price.

What does a full-time executive assistant do?
An executive assistant runs one leader's time. The live work is the morning calendar review, rescheduling when a meeting moves, and joining calls to take notes and assign follow-ups. The rest of the day is inbox handled against your rules, briefs prepared before meetings, travel and expenses, and chasing yesterday's follow-ups.
This is a different seat from a general virtual assistant. A virtual assistant usually works a task list for a team. An executive assistant makes judgment calls about one person's time, writing, and calendar. The screening that matches that seat is on the hire page: a sample inbox, a three-city scheduling exercise, and notes from a short recorded meeting.
If you want the task list rather than one leader's seat, start with the virtual assistant cost page. If the seat is the leader's, the executive assistant page is the one to use.
How should you read the pay benchmarks?
The U.S. column is the BLS median wage for executive secretaries and executive administrative assistants, plus employer costs from the BLS Employer Costs for Employee Compensation release. It is the cost of employing someone in the United States. It is not a Rekruuto price, and we do not hire in the United States.
Figures for India, Mexico, and other countries are local market pay from Indeed or PayScale. They describe general local roles, not a remote hire working U.S. hours, and they are pay only, before that country's employer costs. Each figure links to its source page. Roles without a usable public figure are left off, not estimated.
The Philippine Statistics Authority does not publish executive assistants as their own occupation. The closest published figure is on the page, shown for scale. We do not publish what each hire earns. You pay one monthly price, and we handle pay.
What does an executive assistant cost next to published benchmarks?
The first row is our published price for a full-time hire in the Philippines. The U.S. row is the BLS median for executive secretaries and executive administrative assistants, $76,590 a year as of May 2025, plus employer costs. The other rows are local market pay in countries we do not hire in. Each of those links to its source page. A missing country means we did not find a usable public figure, so it is left off.

What fills the week?
An executive assistant runs one leader's calendar, inbox, meeting prep, and follow-through. The work that happens while you are online, and the work that can wait, look like this on a live team:
During your workday
- The morning calendar review with you
- Rescheduling when a meeting moves at short notice
- Joining calls to take notes and assign follow-ups
Between meetings
- Inbox zero against your rules, with a short list of what only you can answer
- Meeting briefs prepared the night before
- Travel booking and expense reports
- Chasing the follow-ups from yesterday's meetings
What should you screen for?
The monthly price is the same for every executive assistant we place. The fit is not. These are the checks on the hire page, written so the first week of the trial has real work in it.
| Skill | How to check it |
|---|---|
| Judgment about what reaches you | Show a sample inbox of 20 emails. Ask which three you must see today and what they would do with the rest. |
| Calendar control across time zones | Ask them to schedule a meeting with three people in London, New York, and Los Angeles, and explain the slot they picked. |
| Discretion | Ask how they would handle a confidential board email that lands in a shared folder by mistake. |
| Writing in your voice | Give three emails you wrote and ask for a fourth reply in the same tone. |
| Meeting notes that lead to action | Play a 10-minute recorded meeting and ask for notes with owners and dates. |

A U.S. Pacific 9-to-5 is 12 a.m. – 8 a.m. during U.S. summer and 1 a.m. – 9 a.m. in U.S. winter. Rekruuto hires work your hours as their regular schedule, so the whole workday overlaps.[14] In the EF English Proficiency Index 2025, the Philippines ranks 28 of 123 with a score of 569 (high proficiency). English is an official language of the Philippines.[13][33]
Why we hire executive assistants in the Philippines
We place talent in the Philippines only. It is a deliberate choice, and it is why our hires work the way they do:

- Your hours, by design. Every Rekruuto hire works full time in your time zone. U.S. hours are how our hires work, not an exception you negotiate.
