PHP/Laravel Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are hiring a remote PHP/Laravel Developer to build and maintain our Laravel application and keep it secure and up to date.

You will report to the founder.

What you will do

  • Build features in Laravel with Eloquent, queues, and Blade or Livewire
  • Write and run database migrations
  • Build and maintain APIs and integrations
  • Write feature and unit tests with PHPUnit or Pest
  • Fix bugs and improve slow pages and queries

What success looks like in the first 90 days

  • Application on a supported Laravel and PHP version
  • Slow queries found and fixed on key pages
  • New features shipped with tests

Tools you will use

  • PHP and Laravel
  • MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Livewire, Inertia, or Vue
  • Redis
  • Forge or Vapor

What we are looking for

  • Three or more years building production Laravel applications
  • Strong PHP and SQL
  • Experience upgrading Laravel and PHP versions
  • Writes tests and clear pull request descriptions

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours a week, remote. Working hours overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
